Make a list of things that drain you, things you want less of in your life.
What obligations or expectations bring feelings of frustration and resentment?
Are there things you keep doing even though you know if you didn’t, you’d feel better?
What do your answers say about what matters to you? What themes are emerging?
Make connections and group your answers into categories. Combined with The Wonderful Things highlights, you’re building your personalized list of what matters most.
Next up: Heroes & Villains.
In the meantime, put your growing list somewhere you can see it and practice removing or decreasing the time you spend on one of your energy drains. Replace it with something important to you. Share what you’re adding and subtracting with a loved one, or comment below. Saying it out loud boosts your momentum.
